Read Kennedy's and Stevens' opinions.


The real part of that opinion that bothers me is not the corporate speech part which regularly gets attacked. Rather it is the part which defines corruption as only being a quid pro quo relationship and that money contributions do not count. That is crazy to me and seems patently false but this assumption was also critical to Kennedy's rationale.

Anyways I just think some of the assumptions of the majority in that case are crazy.
